Padarn put the steeple back
[490-550]
Once, one of Padarn’s servants went into the woods surrounding their monastery and was murdered by thieves. When Padarn heard this, he immediately set off into the woods himself. “Reply to your master,” he bravely called into the void, and the servant’s head, torn off from its body, called back, “I'm over here!” Padarn tracked it down, then the rest of the body, said a blessing to the heavens, and the servant was made whole again, and alive too. The news of Notre Dame burning today is terribly sad, but this story gives me hope.
